Access control systems

Manage access permissions.

The right access for the right person.

Access control is planned as a system

Access control relies on readers, control panels, door locks or turnstiles, and management software working together. The aim is to allow registered users to access authorised areas under defined conditions. System design begins with the purpose of access points and how the facility is used.

  • Planning access permissions by door and area
  • Selecting card, QR code or biometric authentication
  • Defining a record structure for tracking access events

What do we consider for your project?

The number of doors, distances, network infrastructure and power continuity should be assessed. Emergency and evacuation requirements are also part of system design. Product interoperability is checked at model and connection level.

How do you choose card, QR or biometric access?

The choice depends on user numbers, traffic and the intended area. Card access requires planning card issuance and lost cards; QR access requires planning code creation and verification; biometric access requires checking device operating conditions and enrolment. Reader and controller connection compatibility must also be checked.

What information is needed for an access control project?

Door or turnstile numbers, user groups, access hours and existing lock models help with the initial assessment. A door list or floor plan allows readers, controllers and connection points to be planned together. When expanding an existing system, hardware and software versions should also be provided.

Frequently asked questions

Can multiple doors be managed from one system?

Suitable panel and software options can be evaluated for multi-door projects. Capacity, cabling and management scope are clarified according to the selected products.

What information should I share for a quotation?

Sharing the setting, number of users or access points and existing infrastructure helps the initial assessment. You can also include device models and project drawings, if available.
